The Mystic
What is a mystic? Someone who wants God before all other things. Not the God defined by religion, but the God of the heart, shining as the soul of all beings. Beliefs, dogmas and rules are not enough. The soul of the mystic longs for union with the beloved who hides in plain sight, simultaneously hidden and revealed as everything and everyone. What keeps us in seeming separation from the one being whose heart beats the universe? It is ego, selfishness, fear and separation. This is why the spiritual path is not only joy and ecstasy, but also great struggle.
